The Region
CESPHN provides services for the 1.5 million individuals living in the 587km² area. This includes the areas from Bondi to the Sutherland Shire in the south, and as far west as Strathfield. The population of Lord Howe Island is also included. The number of people living in the area will reach more than 1.9 million by 2031, with the most significant increase being the number of people aged over 65 years.
Health Needs Assessment
The purpose of the Needs Assessment is to identify population health needs and service gaps. This year we completed a major update of the needs assessment. The findings inform the services we commission and our work to improve the primary health system.
